My New Year’s Rissolution* part 1

*Rabbit called a rissolution in the last chapter of The House At Pooh Corner

I found 2025 very difficult. A fall in February prevented me from getting on with my projects until April… then “sleeping sickness” which turned out to be low folic acid put paid to my creativity from the end of October onwards. In between life was interrupted by medical appointments.

My rissolution is to complete some projects during 2026 (see photo)

Described in text below

Starting with a project I started just before the folic acid deficit stopped play:-Top left: A close-up of a quilt block with a bright orange floral fabric set in a grey, striped background. Bottom left: Auditioning the grey with yellow pinstripes fabric with 8 folded fat quarters.

Then I have 5 projects that need to be quilted and bound:- Top middle: 3 finished quilt tops draped on a whiteboard, showcasing a variety of multicoloured fabrics. They are all Monkey Wrench blocks. Centre: a quilt top with hexagons and part hexagons arranged in 9 blocks each containing a single coloured fabric and white. The coloured fabrics have tropical themed prints. Bottom middle: Another quilt top, made up of assorted patterned fabrics in tumbler shapes.

Lastly there’s a couple of quilt tops I need to finish sewing together and bring to completion. Top right: Hexagon-shaped pieces forming a larger quilt top in shades of orange, yellow, blue, and black, pinned on a white board. Bottom right: Numerous triangles to make hexagon quilt blocks arranged from blue, yellow, red, and white fabrics.

All these are being sewn on my machine but me being me I have a couple of hand sewing projects I want to work on as well.
