A spot of “poetry”

Old red postbox covered in ivy including some dead stems just under the overhang of its top. The paint on the postbox is chipped and peeling, revealing rust and signs of age. Green ivy climbs up the left side, blending with surrounding leafy plants. The postbox has a slot for mail and a notice panel, and the sky above is overcast.

Red paint peels revealing rust scars.

Dead ivy stems like skeletal fingers in salute.

Vigorous green ivy threatens to overwhelm.

While patiently at the attention

With slot agape

Stands the postbox awaiting the last post.
