September has been Hell Month since my dad died two thirds of my life ago.
Since then September has become a car crash of sad anniversaries and I usually end up spiralling into a grief funk.
This year I’ve called it Sewvember and the photo collage below shows what I’ve achieved so far this month.
This quilt is humongous (approximately 64 inches wide and 80 inches long).

This is the description by Be My AI in the app Be My Eyes with my edit in square brackets
The image is a side-by-side comparison. On the left, there is a clear photo of a colorful quilt hanging on a wall. The quilt features a pattern of squares and triangles with various colors, including blue, green, yellow, and orange, and some sections have sunflower designs. Next to the quilt, there are stacks of plastic storage drawers in different colors, and a cat is sitting on the floor in front of them. On the right, the same scene is shown but heavily blurred, with a red circle [marking the centre of the photo].
Be My AI thought the circle was pointing out a part of the quilt. The app used for the blurry photo is Vision Sim by the Braille Institute.
At the end of August I chose 2 of the projects in those drawers by my White board upon which the quilt is hanging and wrote 2 lists breaking each project into its Component parts.
The screenshot below shows my To Do list from the native Notes app on my iPhone. Because my list is longer than the screen days 1/9 to 5/9 aren’t on the list.

I’m hoping to come back in a week or so to say I’ve completed this quilt and had it delivered to my friend and started project 2 which will turn a myriad of blocks I made in May 2020 into as many quilts as I can (certainly a large one for myself made with 12 blocks in a 3 by 4 grid so 54 inches by 72 inches) and several baby quilts (36 by 36 inches).
It’s time to dive into my fabric stash and scraps to find fabric for the backing and binding to coordinate with the front.
