Recently I saw a cartoon type picture attached to an article about self driving cars. The picture was a car driving towards a zebra crossing where an elderly lady using a walking stick was being followed across the road by a crawling baby. The question in the caption was who should the car kill!
That is most definitely the wrong question as the Highway Code in the UK states a car approaching this crossing while it is in use MUST stop and wait.

If there are ever self driving vehicles they need to be glitch free unlike this delivery robot which in 2019 drove out in front of my son-in-law, it was only his driving skill, and that of the vehicles following that meant only milk was spilled and the robot’s wheels fell off.
My blood still runs cold at what could have happened if the drivers hadn’t been so skilled.
What do you think?
Until next time.
